AWS Information Infrastructure Pre-Apprenticeship (I2PA)
AWS Information Infrastructure Pre-Apprenticeship (I2PA) is a paid 4-week program, working 30 hours each week preparing to enter careers that build, connect, power, and operate the infrastructure that powers our information economy. Training is hands-on, working with the tools and materials used on the job. Everything you need is included: Protective gear, supplies, and a laptop computer.

About the Program
You will learn about high-demand careers, and perform work functions typically found on the job. Key elements of mission-critical building projects are explored, including fiber optics, electrical, mechanical, computer servers, and the software used to design and build these facilities and systems.
Each week also includes practice with the durable skills needed for any career–problem solving, time management, teamwork, persistence, and respect for others.
Why You Should Attend
On completion, you will have earned several industry-required certificates, including AWS I2PA and OSHA 10. You will also have an opportunity to participate in a job fair, featuring hiring managers from companies looking for workers with these skills and credentials.

What are the requirements to sign up?
To be successful in this program, you likely will have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform basic math functions: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and fractions and percentages
- Basic written and verbal communication skills in English

- Persistence, enthusiasm, and respect for others

Will there be hands-on training opportunities?
Yes, hands-on training is an integral part of our pre-apprenticeship program. Participants will have the opportunity to apply their skills in real-world scenarios under the guidance of experienced instructors.
Will there be any field trips or site visits during the pre-apprenticeship?
Yes, field trips and site visits are incorporated into the pre-apprenticeship program to provide participants with valuable industry exposure and hands-on learning experiences.
Will transportation be provided to and from the training site?
While transportation will be provided for field trips and site visits, daily transportation to the pre-apprenticeship program is not included.
Can I attend the pre-apprenticeship part-time?
The pre-apprenticeship program is typically designed as a full-time commitment. Part-time attendance may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Can I enroll if I already have experience in one of the trades covered in the pre-apprenticeship?
Yes, individuals with prior experience may still benefit from the program’s structured curriculum, industry certifications, and networking opportunities.
